What Grade Levels?

Ryan has specific books and presentations for the following age groups:

  1. Kindergarten & First Grade: Featuring Joe Lee and the Boo
  2. Second & Third Grade: Featuring Santa Claus: Super Spy
  3. Fourth & Fifth Grade: Featuring Lost in the Wild
  4. COMING SOON: Sixth & Seventh Grade: Featuring Dracula

What Do Ryan’s 30- to 45-Minute Presentations Include?

  • A brief reading from his book(s)
  • Information about the process of writing a book
  • A brief discussion about how books are made
  • A question-and-answer session
  • An opportunity for students to purchase books and get autographs

NOTE: Ryan remains flexible to specific requests from schools. For instance, Ryan has worked with creative writing classes.

What Fees Are Involved?

  • There are NO FEES (although a $100 travel stipend is always appreciated) for most schools within Minnesota—provided you are willing work with the author to send order forms home with each student.
  • The information above applies to one or two full-day visits (minimum of 250 students per day). Each additional day is $250 per day.
  • In rare instances, schools may be asked to provide reasonal transportation and/or lodging costs.
